Remedies: Bathing Products

This is a list of all the bath-related products I have used, ranging from conditioners to pillow mist, along with retailers where they can be purchased.

For more info on how I use them, check out My Daily Skincare Routine

When I'm researching a potential purchase, I paste its list of ingredients into an ingredient checker that instantly analyses and identifies any that may be unfavourable. It's also handy to use the ingredient finder offered by Lush, which provides explanations, uses and benefits. Here's another from the Environmental Working Group.

Dead Sea Bath Salt
Asda | Boots | Holland and Barrett | Savers | Superdrug | Tesco
(I buy in bulk from Amazon)
A white bucket containing Dead Sea Salt, an orange cup and an empty box.

To combat scalp psoriasis, I use this set:

Trichology Bundle
Superdrug
Three white bottles with green lids reading (from left to right) conditioner, shampoo, tonic

...but on a day-to-day basis, it's the below Herbal Essences combo:

Herbal Essences Sulfate Free Shampoo
(Choose Avocado, Bamboo or Hemp)
Asda | Boots | Superdrug
A green plastic bottle of Herbal Essences Bio Renew Aloe and Bamboo Sulfate-free shampoo.

Herbal Essences Sulfate Free Hair Conditioner
(Choose Avocado, Bamboo or Hemp)
Asda | Boots | Superdrug
A green plastic tube of Herbal Essences Bio Renew Aloe and Hemp Sulfate-free conditioner.

Herbal Essences Scalp & Hair Oil, Aloe + Avocado Oil
Boots | Superdrug
A bottle of Herbal Essences Bio Renew Avocado Oil and Aloe, Nourish Hair and Scalp Oil.

Unfortunately, this Herbal Essences range isn't as easy to find compared to when I first posted about it, but I have found other alternatives:

Faith In Nature Shampoo (and Conditioner)
(assorted aromas)
Boots | Grape Tree | Holland and Barrett

Sukin 3 in 1 Wash
(assorted aromas)
Dolphin Fitness

Dead Seat Salt Bath and Shower Gel
Amazon | Westlab
White bottle with a blue lid against a blue background with text reading: Westlab Soothing Bath and Shower Gel

Baylis and Harding Shower Gel
(assorted aromas)
Boots | Waitrose

While my favourite Friendly Soap is this one, they also have an Aloe Vera bar that's fragrance-free:

Tea Tree & Turmeric Soap Bar
Friendly Soap | On the Eighth Day | The Refill Jar
A yellow box with white text reading: “Friendly Soap Tea Tree & Turmeric Natural Soap. Free from Sulfates, Preservatives, Palm Oil, Plastic, Cruelty”. Next to it, an olive-coloured bar of soap.

Plant Based Bodywash
Asda | Boots | Superdrug | Tesco
Two green bottles: both their white labels read: “I’m Plant Based. Original Source Body Wash”. The left is Lemongrass & Sweet Orange scented, with orange imagery. The right is Lavender & Rosemary, with purple imagery.

(My favourite scent: Cedarwood and Eucalyptus)

Natural Shampoo & Body Wash
Balmonds | Holland and Barrett
A green pump bottle with a metal neck and white dispenser top. Its green label reads: “Balmonds Extra Gentle Natural Shampoo & Body Wash”.

Shaving Bar Fragrance Free
Friendly Soap | On the Eighth Day | The Refill Jar
A white box with purple text reading: “Friendly Soap Shaving Bar Fragrance Free Natural Velvety Leather. Free from Sulfates, Preservatives, Palm Oil, Plastic, Cruelty”. Below it, an olive-grey coloured bar of soap.

Goodness Sleep L & B Sleep Pillow Mist
Boots | Ocado | Tesco
A dark purple mist spray bottle on grey bedding. Its label reads: “Baylis and Harding, Goodness Sleep Beautifully Lavender and Bergamot Natural Pillow mist”

Soaking in Dead Sea salt is renowned for easing psoriasis symptoms. In response to a flare-up, I increased my baths from weekly to three times a week. My 'perfect' bathing consists of:

Dead Sea Bath Salt (500g)

Dead Sea Salt Bath and Shower Gel (for bubbles!)

Avocado Oil (1 tbsp)

Lavender essential oil (8-10 drops)
